Clinical Biography
Kathleen “Kathy” Stanton, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist in the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in perinatal and infant mental health. Additionally, Dr. Stanton is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Stanton earned her bachelor’s from Duke University and her doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed an internship in trauma-informed assessment and therapy at Westcoast Children’s Clinic and a postdoctoral fellowship in infant, early childhood, and perinatal mental health at the University of California, San Francisco through the Infant-Parent Program.
Dr. Stanton’s also practices in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Labor and Delivery Unit at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Her past research focused on the role of cultural values in youth adjustment and family functioning.
Dr. Stanton is a pediatric psychologist with UT Health Austin.
