You’ve made your appointment, so you’ll be visiting UT Health Austin soon. Many answers to the questions you have about your appointment can be found below.

You will receive an email or text message from our Access Center, which will include a link to your pre-appointment questionnaire. If you do not have electronic access, make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early to your appointment to find parking, find your check-in floor, and to fill out your questionnaire before you are seen. The questionnaire will include questions about your health, your health history, and your care goals. Some of these questions may be sensitive, but they help your care team determine the right care plan for you.*

Benefits of completing the questionnaires at home:

  • Taking your time and saving time at check-in; the questionnaire takes an average of 10-15 minutes to complete
  • Completing sensitive information in a private, comfortable space
  • Allows your care team to create an individualized care plan, before your first visit, to help you reach your goals faster

We recommend that you register for the UT Health Austin patient portal here to view your patient summary, lab and imaging results, and to message your care team.

We are happy to announce that self-scheduling is now available for follow-up appointments for established patients. An established patient is an individual who has been seen previously by a provider in one of the specialties below and has an established MyUTHA Patient Portal account. Self-scheduling may be completed as early as 72 hours before the appointment date and time you wish to select provided availability. Check the appointments section on each page below to learn what types of appointments can be scheduled.

New patients, except for the Walk-In Clinic, should call 1-833-882-2737 to register, set up their portal account and schedule their first appointment.

Clinics offering self-scheduling:

* The Walk-In Clinic will accept new patient appointments for same-day, next-day care and within 2 hours of an available time.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment. If you have not completed your pre-appointment questionnaire (see “What happens before my appointment?” above), you will be asked to do so at check-in. You can complete the questionnaire privately or our trained concierge staff (they will be dressed in teal shirts) can help answer them with you.
