About This Clinic
UT Health Austin’s Walk-In Clinic diagnoses and treats a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries, including colds and flu, allergies, minor cuts, sprains, strains, and more, in adult patients (18 years and older). We provide quick and convenient same-day or next-day care for those minor, urgent concerns that can occur when you least expect them. Our goal is to help you get back to the things in your life that matter most to you.
Please note: The Walk-In Clinic does not accept Medicaid plans. For a list of accepted insurance plans, please visit here.
Walk-In Clinic Hours
Monday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.)
Tuesday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon

At UT Health Austin, we focus on you, the whole patient, making sure that you have the support you need throughout your care.
Self-Scheduling for New and Established Patients
Self-scheduling is available for new and established patients. Self-scheduling may be completed as early as 2 hours prior to the appointment date and time you wish to select provided there is availability. If you schedule a same-day appointment, you will not receive an appointment confirmation text or email. If you would like to confirm your appointment time, please call the UT Health Austin Access Center at 1-833-UT-CARES (1-833-882-2737). Please note: The provider you schedule your visit with may change at the time of your appointment based on availability; however, you will still be seen at your scheduled appointment time. Additionally, the Walk-In Clinic does not provide annual exams, immunizations, or well-woman exams.
If you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, severe abdominal pain, stroke symptoms, or loss of consciousness, please dial 9-1-1 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Our Facility
UT Health Austin is housed in the Health Transformation Building (HTB). The HTB is located in downtown Austin, TX on The University of Texas at Austin campus and neighbors the Dell Medical School research and learning buildings as well as the Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.
This facility is outfitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology and organized to support an unmatched level of multidisciplinary care. Patients have access to all of the resources and amenities UT Health Austin has to offer, including attached garage parking, comfortable waiting areas, an on-site cafe, a full-service H-E-B pharmacy, advanced imaging and lab testing, and an Ambulatory Surgery Center for same-day surgical care.
