Cynthia Corral, LCSW

Clinical Biography

Cynthia Corral, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in UT Health Austin’s Musculoskeletal Institute and serves as the Clinical Manager of Social Work and Integrated Behavioral Health. In her role, she supports UT Health Austin social workers, dietitians, and pharmacists. She specializes in providing care management and psychotherapy services to address patients’ psychosocial needs and help them achieve their desired goals and outcomes. Additionally, Cynthia Corral is as an assistant professor of practice in The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

Cynthia Corral earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology and her master’s degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin. She has additional training in applying cognitive behavioral therapy to patients with chronic pain and cognitive processing therapy to patients with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Cynthia Corral has been recognized as a Trailblazer by the El Paso in Austin Network Adelante Scholarship Circle for exemplifying leadership, creativity, and passion for her work and her community. She volunteers with the Cine Las Americas film festival as she believes in the importance of cultural connection, education, and storytelling through the arts. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
