Clinical Biography
Amelia Frank, LCSW, ACHP-SW, is a licensed clinical social worker in UT Health Austin’s Primary Care Clinic. She is also a part of UT Health Austin’s Health Social Work care team. With more than thirteen years of extensive experience in home-based medical social work, she specializes in providing assessment and psychotherapy services to support patients’ overall well-being.
Amelia Frank earned her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and her master’s degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work, where she was a fellow in the GRACE program, which is a practicum-based learning program designed to increase social work students’ knowledge of and experience with older adults and their families. She is credentialed by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) as an advanced certified hospice and palliative social worker.
Amelia Frank’s clinical interests include motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She takes a strengths-based, person-centered approach to support patients through life transitions, enhancing their social functioning and overall health.
