Clinical Biography

William Matsui, MD is a medical oncologist with UT Health Austin’s LIVESTRONG Cancer Institutes Hematologic Oncology clinic. He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancers that involve the blood and bone marrow as well as bone marrow transplantation.

Dr. Matsui received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Harvard College and his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle and his clinical training in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins. He serves as a member in the American Society for Clinical Investigation, International Society for Stem Cell Research, American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation and American Society of Hematology.
