Shawna Anderson Curry, MA, LPC

Clinical Biography

Shawna Anderson Curry, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s and UT Health Austin. She specializes in providing counseling services to survivors of trauma and abuse and has experience providing support to individuals who suffer from mental health concerns. She provides counseling services to individuals and families enrolled in the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program. Additionally, Shawna Anderson Curry is a mental health therapist in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Shawna Anderson Curry earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from James Madison University and her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Regent University. She pursued certifications in evidence-based clinical therapies including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She is certified in perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International. Shawna is a member of the American Counseling Association and the EMDR International Association.
