Frances Ibarra, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker and substance use disorder navigator and educator in Health Social Work at UT Health Austin.
Frances Ibarra earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work. She also completed a Health Care Social Work Certificate while obtaining her master’s degree. With nearly eight years of experience providing community-based services to diverse underserved cultural populations, she has had experience working in a homeless shelter, an HIV clinic, a supportive housing program, a women’s health clinic, and community centers.
Frances Ibarra is passionate about social justice and empowering marginalized and vulnerable communities. She is interested in expanding her knowledge around trauma-informed care to provide competent strength-based and relational services to support an individual’s journey toward well-being.
