Clinical Biography

David Tang, MD is a gastroenterologist with the UT Health Austin Gastroenterology clinic. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biological engineering from Cornell University and then his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed a second fellowship in Advanced Interventional Endoscopy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

Dr. Tang cared for patients with gastrointestinal conditions in the Houston area prior to joining UT Health Austin. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with pancreas and biliary conditions and disease.

Additionally, he serves as Assistant Professor, University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
