Clinical Biography
Patrizia Perazzo, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in UT Health Austin’s Women’s Reproductive Mental Health of Texas. She specializes in perinatal and reproductive mental health. Additionally, Dr. Perazzo is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Perazzo earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Tulsa, her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Boston College, and her doctorate degree in counseling psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed a doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Houston and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at the Tilman J. Fertitta College of Medicine. She also completed specialized training in integrated behavioral health at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Perazzo is dedicated to providing culturally responsive behavioral health treatment during pregnancy and postpartum, including mental health support for infertility, pregnancy and infant loss. Her research focuses on immigrant mental health, immigrant-parent stress, cultural stress, graduate student burnout, and culturally responsive interventions in psychotherapy.
