Clinical Biography

Vettaikorumakankav “Veda” Vedanarayanan, MD, FRCPC, is a board-certified pediatric neurologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in autonomic disorders, neuromuscular conditions, and other neurological diseases. Additionally, Dr. Veda is a professor for the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Veda earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research in Puducherry, India. He completed an internship in pediatrics at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Women’s and Children Hospital in Puducherry, India and a residency in pediatrics at both All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India and New York Medical College as well as a residency in child Neurology at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Veda was previously a professor of neurology at The University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also served as Director of the Division of Neuromuscular Medicine and oversaw both the Electromyography and Autonomic Laboratory and the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic. He is passionate about providing individualized, state-of-the-art care to children with neuromuscular diseases.
