Clinical Biography
Shandalene Ghanem is a licensed physical therapist assistant in UT Health Austin’s Musculoskeletal Institute. With more than 10 years of experience in health and fitness, she specializes in orthopedics and outpatient therapy.
Shandalene Ghanem earned her bachelor’s in kinesiology from St. Edward’s University, where she also earned a graduate certificate in sports medicine, and her associate’s in applied science from Austin Community College, where she completed the physical therapist assistant program. She is also a certified fitness professional with personal training and group fitness instructor experience.
Shandalene Ghanem’s clinical interest include pelvic floor medicine, sports medicine, and orthopedics. As a former collegiate athlete, she is also interested in research involving anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury prevention in sports and concussions in athletes.
