Sarah Hunsaker, CST

Clinical Biography

Sarah Hunsaker, CST, is a certified surgical technologist in UT Health Austin’s Ambulatory Surgery Center. With more than 10 years of experience, she specializes in anticipating and facilitating the needs of the surgeon and surgical team, which includes the preparation of all required instruments and supplies, to ensure the surgeon and surgical team can complete their procedure safely and efficiently.

Sarah Hunsaker earned her Associate of Science degree in surgical technology from South Plains College. She has experience working at level 1 and level 2 trauma centers across the state of Texas and has trained in many different surgical fields, such as cardiovascular, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, hands, and gynecologic. She also has clinical experience in eyes, plastics, neurology, and pediatrics.

Sarah Hunsaker’s clinical interests include focusing on patient care in the perioperative setting and helping those in need of medical assistance.
