Biography and Education

Clinical Biography

Ryan Brown, MD, is a board-certified pediatric psychiatrist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in developmental disorders, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and acute psychiatry needs. Additionally, Dr. Brown is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Southwestern University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed a residency in general psychiatry at the University of North Carolina Medical Center and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Dell Medical School.

Dr. Brown’s research interests include developmental disorders and access to mental health care in the communities where he lives and works.

Dr. Brown is a pediatric psychiatrist with UT Health Austin.
