Clinical Biography
Navid Valizadeh, MB, BCh is a neurologist in the UT Health Austin Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center. He is a trained neurointensivist and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening diseases of the nervous system, including brain and spinal cord trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, and severe infectious and inflammatory conditions of the nervous system. In his role in the Neuroimmunology Center, his areas of interest include autoimmune encephalitis, vasculitis, and other neuro-inflammatory diseases.
Dr. Valizadeh earned his medical degree at the National University of Ireland (Galway) and his masters in Clinical Neurology at Queen Square, University College London, UK. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He completed his residency in Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical School and his fellowship in Neurocritical Care from Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
