Clinical Biography
Mohammad Alsumrain, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care medicine specialist in UT Health Austin’s Pulmonology Clinic. He specializes in asthma, pneumonia, and sleep apnea. Additionally, Dr. Alsumrain is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Alsumrain earned his medical degree from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan. He completed both a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Seton Hall University. He also completed a fellowship in interstitial lung disease and pulmonary vasculitis at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.
Dr. Alsumrain’s clinical and research interests focus on general pulmonary medicine and interstitial lung disease. He is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
