Michael Breen, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified gynecologist in UT Health Austin’s Women’s Health Institute. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of chronic pelvic pain and has expertise in robotics and minimally invasive surgeries. Additionally, Dr. Breen is an associate professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Women’s Health and serves as the Associate Program Director of the Dell Medical School Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program.
Dr. Breen earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed an integrated residency at the University of Arizona School of Medicine as well as a second residency in family practice at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Dr. Breen has been an educator for over 15 years. Prior to joining the inaugural faculty at Dell Medical School, he taught at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and the Central Texas Medical Center Foundation, actively participating in the rethinking of women’s health.
