Clinical Biography
Matthew Marrero, COT, OSC, is the clinic program manager for UT Health Austin’s Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute. He specializes in providing a variety of ophthalmic testing as well as coordinating the general management of the clinic’s needs.
Matthew Marrero earned his ophthalmic assistant certification, his ophthalmic scribe certification, and his ophthalmic technician certification through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. He also completed Diopsys training and basic life support training.
Matthew Marrero has served as an ophthalmic technician for over 9 years. Prior to becoming an ophthalmic technician, he spent several years serving as a laboratory manager fabricating lenses for glasses.
