Lizette Taboada is the Nutrition and Behavior Change Lead for UT Health Austin. As a registered dietitian, she is developing programs and working with patients in the Musculoskeletal and Women’s Health Institutes.
She was raised in Mexico and moved to Texas to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition as well as her dietetic internship with the UT Coordinated Program. Lizette brings thirteen years of community experience as a clinical dietitian from her work at Dell Children’s Medical Center (childhood obesity program); Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program; and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program.
Lizette has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams. When counseling patients, she combines a patient-centered approach and motivational interviewing techniques to empower patients to achieve healthy lifestyle changes. Her main goal is to support families through the process of creating healthy eating habits as they strive for a better quality of life.
In her free time, Lizette enjoys running, traveling, live music, dancing, and cooking.
