Lindsey Elliott, PhD

Clinical Biography

Lindsey Elliott, PhD, is a licensed pediatric psychologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in treating children and adolescents with somatic symptom and related disorders, such as functional neurological symptom disorder (FNSD). Additionally, Dr. Elliot is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Elliot earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from College of William & Mary and her doctorate in clinical psychology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and. She completed an internship in pediatric psychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric psychology with a specialty in consultation/liaison at the Texas Child Study Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Dr. Elliott’s research interests include somatic symptom and related disorders, and she has published articles examining etiological factors related to these disorders. Additionally, she continues to be engaged in multi-site research projects aimed at providing effective treatment to individuals with FNSD. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Pediatric Psychology.
