Krystle Pleitz, LCSW

Clinical Biography

Krystle Pleitz, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She is also a part of UT Health Austin’s Integrated Behavioral Health care team. With over 10 years of experience, she specializes in providing individual and family counseling to pediatric patients who are navigating transitions, coping with chronic illnesses, and experiencing mental health challenges.

Krystle Pleitz earned her bachelor’s degree in medical humanities and American studies from Baylor University and her master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from the University of Houston She completed an internship in pediatrics at Shriners Hospital for Children and an additional internship in pediatrics at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Krystle Pleitz has extensive experience developing and implementing social work programs within pediatric specialty care departments, and she contributes to team-based telehealth consultation services through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) initiatives. Her research interests include perinatal psychotherapy and congenital cardiology. She values being an active member in the community and enjoys volunteering with the Junior League of Austin. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
