Clinical Biography

Kendall Goodyear, MD, is an ophthalmologist in UT Health Austin’s Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute. She specializes in ­­­oculoplastic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Goodyear is a clinical instructor in the Dell Medical School Department of Ophthalmology at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Goodyear earned her bachelor’s degree with distinction in biology with a minor in mathematics and dance, graduating cum laude, from Cornell University and her medical degree with a clinical neuroscience training program certificate from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed an internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and a residency in ophthalmology at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute. She is currently pursuing a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at TOC Eye and Face.

Dr. Goodyear’s clinical interests include severe vision conditions affecting the eyelids, orbit, tear ducts, and surrounding eye structures. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Her dedication to patient advocacy in ophthalmology has earned her multiple awards, including the Starr E. Schulman Fellow Award and the YO (Young Ophthalmologist) Green Grant Research Award. She was also member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Please note: Dr. Goodyear will begin seeing patients on April 11, 2025.
