Clinical Biography

Kelly Swap, MSN, AGACNP-BC, AGNP-C, is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in the Institute for Cardiovascular Heath, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. With over a decade of experience in critical care nursing, she specializes in the care of peri-operative cardiac surgery patients.

Kelly Swap earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and her master’s degree in nursing with emphasis in adult gerontology from the University of Cincinnati. She completed a post-master’s with an emphasis in acute care from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Kelly Swap began her career in hospital medicine. She discovered her true passion in cardiac surgery, where she enjoys collaborating with intensive care nurses to care for post-cardiac surgery patients. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
