Clinical Biography
Katie Colman, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in pediatric cardiac intensive care. Additionally, Dr. Colman is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Colman earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center and both a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and an advanced fellowship in pediatric cardiac critical care at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Colman’s research interests include Fontan physiology and improving outcomes in the cardiac intensive care unit. She is a member of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society, the American Heart Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Colman is a pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist with UT Health Austin.
