Biography and Education

Clinical Biography

Faheem Mahomed, MD, is a board-certified pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in the assessment and rehabilitation of children with neurological disorders. Additionally, Dr. Mahomed is an assistant professor of medicine in the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Mahomed earned both his bachelor’s degree and medical degree in a combined six-year program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation at Shriners Hospitals for Children through the University of California Davis Health.

Dr. Mahomed has published multiple articles and conducts research while teaching residents in his faculty role at Dell Medical School. He is also actively involved in various community service groups and projects, and is a member of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
