Clinical Biography
Deborah Rosales-Elkins is a peer support specialist in UT Health Austin’s Bipolar Disorder Center.
Deborah Rosales-Elkins earned both her bachelor’s degree in human services and master’s degree in human development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Deborah Rosales-Elkins is dedicated to community engagement and mental health advocacy. She previously served as a peer policy fellow at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Texas and as a mental health advocate at Texans Care for Children, where she supported mental health legislation and worked to improve the lives of children through policy solutions. She also has experience as a program coordinator and trainer at The Children’s Partnership, a clinical director and staff development trainer at Planned Parenthood, and a consultant trainer for the Minnesota Department of Human Services, where she helped support children and their families navigating complex mental health challenges.
