Clinical Biography
Daniel Freedman, DO, is a board-certified pediatric neurologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in child neurology and epilepsy. Additionally, Dr. Freedman is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology.
Dr. Freedman earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Duke University and his degree in osteopathic medicine from The University of North Texas Health Science Center. He completed a residency in pediatrics and child neurology and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Freedman’s clinical interests include neurology education, epilepsy, difficult-to-treat seizures, and psychogenic non-epileptic events. He is passionate about advocacy for neurology and epilepsy patients. He has worked with the Epilepsy Alliance of Ohio and the American Academy of Neurology in the past and looks forward to engaging with local neurology and epilepsy groups to continue his work.
