Clinical Biography
Cindy Hernandez, MD, MS, is a board-certified pediatric neuroimmunologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin.
Dr. Hernandez earned her master’s degree in medical science from The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed both a residency in child neurology and a fellowship in combined pediatric neuroimmunology and experimental neurotherapeutics at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Dr. Hernandez is a strong advocate for underrepresented patient populations. Her clinical and research interests include Down syndrome regression disorder. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society.
Dr. Hernandez is a pediatric neuroimmunologist with UT Health Austin.
