Clinical Biography

Audrey Baum has more than 20 years of experience in women’s health, including the last ten years specializing in pelvic health issues, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction and chronic vulvar/vaginal syndromes. Her focus at UT Health Austin will be to use that experience as part of the UT team to offer the best possible care for women needing management of these problems

Audrey obtained her BSN from Texas Women’s University where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, nursing’s honor society. She completed her Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center followed by her MSN from Texas A&M -Corpus Christi University, graduating summa cum laude. She is certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecological, and Neonatal Nurse Specialties. Her background also includes clinical research with publication while at UT Southwestern. Audrey is committed to help train the next generation of nurse practitioners and serves as a preceptor for Advanced Practice nursing students. She is active in community education, giving presentations on various health topics, doing BlogTalk radio interviews and contributing articles to websites focused on women’s health. She currently is a member of the Austin Area Nurse Practitioners’ Association.

Audrey enjoys living in the Austin area with her husband and an energetic dog that encourages her to stay active. Her hobbies include trail hiking in all the beautiful areas surrounding Austin and exploring the variety of entertainment Austin has to offer. She is committed to providing the most comprehensive and compassionate care to all her patients and feels that often the best contribution to a patient’s care is to listen.
