Clinical Biography
Amy Lan Tao-Foster, LPC-S (she/her), is a licensed professional counselor supervisor and a therapist in the Amplify Center, a clinical partnership between Austin Community College and UT Health Austin. Her professional interests include researching and providing trauma-informed care, affirming identity and culture in counseling, addressing the impact of intergenerational trauma, and looking at how every-day use of technology and consumption of multi-media and social media intersect with mental health and well-being. She has professional experience in various settings including research, community based mental health, field work, higher education, and private practice. She provides compassionate, collaborative, and client centered care to young adults.
Amy Lan Tao-Foster earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin, and her master’s degree in community counseling at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
