Amy Lan Tao-Foster, LPC-S (she/her), is a licensed professional counselor in UT Health Austin’s Amplify Center. She specializes in providing compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered care to young adults.
Amy Lan Tao-Foster earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin and her master’s degree in community counseling at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Amy Lan Tao-Foster has experience across various settings, including research, community-based mental health, fieldwork, higher education, and private practice. Her clinical interests include trauma-informed care, affirming identity and culture in counseling, addressing the effects of intergenerational trauma, and exploring the intersection of everyday technology use, social media, and mental health.
