Clinical Biography

Uchenna Ossai, DPT, PT, WCS, CLT is the manager of the Pelvic Health Physical Therapy program for the Women’s Health Institute. She received her clinical doctorate in physical therapy at University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency in Women’s Health and Movement Impairment Science at Washington University in St. Louis.

In 2016, she completed the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program in Sexuality Counseling and Education. She created and developed the pelvic health physical therapy program at Houston Methodist Hospital where she was on faculty for the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship as well as the Urology Residency Program.

Uchenna’s clinical and research interest include chronic pelvic pain for individuals of all genders, sexual dysfunction, and pelvic floor dysfunction for marginalized populations, particularly women of color and the LGBTQIA community.
