Clinical Biography
Robin C. Hilsabeck, PhD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and the Director of UT Health Austin’s Comprehensive Memory Center within the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences. She specializes in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, dementia, and cognitive impairment. Additionally, Dr. Hilsabeck is an associate professor for the Dell Medical School Department of Neurology.
Dr. Hilsabeck earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with a with a major area of study in neuropsychology at Louisiana State University. She completed an internship in clinical psychology with emphasis in clinical neuropsychology at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Hilsabeck has 66 publications and over 125 international and national conference presentations. She focuses her research efforts on older adults with cognitive concerns. Her goals include identifying cognitive disorders early so that appropriate interventions can be implemented and individuals can remain active within their homes and communities as long as possible. Other clinical research interests include investigating the relationship between stress, immune system activation, and cognitive functioning. She currently serves as Gender Special Editor for The Clinical Neuropsychologist and on the editorial boards of Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuropsychology Review. She is past president of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
