Biography and Education
Mia Roldan MSSW, LCSW, LCDC, is a licensed clinical social worker in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She is also a part of UT Health Austin’s Integrated Behavioral Health care team. She specializes in endocrinology and reproductive medicine. Additionally, Mia Roldan is an assistant professor of practice at The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work.
Mia Roldan earned her master’s in social work from The University of Texas at Austin and her bachelor’s in political science from the University of California at Berkeley. She also earned her Elementary and ESL Teaching Certificate from the Dominican University of California and currently holds a K-12 Special Education Teaching Certificate.
Mia Roldan also serves patients and their families through the Adolescent Medicine – Reproductive Endocrinology Program, a specialty program at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Her clinical interests include individual, family, and group psychotherapy for patients with eating disorders and gender diverse patients. She co-authored “Voices of Strength: Sons and Daughters of Suicide Speak Out” and authored “Navigating Grief: A Guided Journal” and “How I Feel: A Grief Journal for Kids.” She regularly engages in educational and training activities with social work students at The University of Texas at Austin as well as students and residents at the Dell Medical School.
