Marilyn Escobar is a Medical Assistant and Care Coordinator in the Women’s Health Institute at UT Health Austin.
A native Austinite, Marilyn’s goal is to help improve health for lower income families in Central Texas by assisting them in the navigation of their care in the clinic, at home, and in their community. She enjoys fulfilling her childhood dream of helping people through her work at UT Health Austin.
Marilyn completed the medical assistant program at Southern Careers Institute and graduated from Bastrop High School where she participated in the Healthcare Career Development Program.
Before joining UT Health Austin, Marilyn worked at People’s Community Clinic as a certified medical assistant for seven years. She has strong clinical experience in the areas of general medicine and women’s health such as adolescent and prenatal care, and gynecology. Marilyn is interested in furthering her career as a registered nurse. She also enjoys spending time with her family, music, dancing, and culinary arts.
