Biography and Education
Kalisi Logan is a board-certified genetic counselor and a part of the CaLM Care Team within UT Health Austin’s Livestrong Cancer Institutes and the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, the clinical partnership between UT Health Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center. In her role, she helps people understand and adapt to the medical, psychological, and familial implications of genetic conditions. This involves assessing the likelihood of a genetic condition within a family, educating patients and families about genetic conditions, assisting patients in decision-making regarding genetic testing, and translating complex genetic test results into practical medical management decisions. Additionally, Kalisi Logan is a genetic counselor for the Dell Medical School Department of Oncology.
Kalisi Logan earned her bachelor’s in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and her master’s in genetic counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
Kalisi Logan is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors, the Texas Society of Genetic Counselors, and the Ascension Seton Cancer Committee. She received the Texas Society of Genetic Counselors Grant Award in 2018, which provided funding for her master’s thesis, “Attitudes Toward Dating BRCA-Positive Previvors.”
