John P. Andrawis, MD, MBA, is an orthopaedic surgeon for the Musculoskeletal Institute at UT Health Austin who has an in-depth understanding of hip and knee disorders.
His passion for orthopaedic care began in medical school when he was inspired by the recovery and improvement in a patient’s quality of life after joint replacement surgery. Dr. Andrawis is a firm believer in the multidisciplinary approach to hip and knee problems and is excited to be a part of UT Health Austin’s team-based practice.
Dr. Andrawis is also a research fellow in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School. Before joining the medical school, he completed his residency at Harbor-University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. Prior to residency, Dr. Andrawis earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Booth School of Business, with a concentration in entrepreneurship. Dr. Andrawis graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
