Ed Bernacki, MD, MPH is the Executive Director for WorkLife Health Solutions. Dr. Bernacki has more than 20 years of experience in the on-site clinic market, launching 40 clinics in more than 25 states and serving thousands of employees.
Until 2015, Dr. Bernacki served as a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. While there he created a network of on-site wellness clinics for multi-national employers and managed the Hopkins University and Health System’s worker’s compensation insurance programs. These efforts were demonstrated to be extremely successful in reducing the incidence and cost of illness for the populations served.
Before working at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Bernacki held a variety of positions in industry including Corporate Medical Director of United Technologies Corporation in Hartford, CT and Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment for Tenneco, Inc. in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Bernacki is a Past President of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and has published numerous peer reviewed articles in the field of occupational medicine, toxicology, medical care cost containment, and worker’s compensation related issues.
In his free time, Dr. Bernacki enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and taking in all the exciting food options Austin has to offer.
