Biography and Education
Chris Laguna, PhD, is a licensed child and adolescent psychologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s. She specializes in inpatient child and adolescent mental health. Additionally, Dr. Laguna is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Laguna earned both her doctorate and her master’s in educational psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed an internship in general psychology at Austin State Hospital and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychology at the private practice of Anne Cameron, PhD, in Austin, Texas. She also has completed additional training in evidenced-based practices such as motivational interviewing and integrated dual disorders treatment.
Dr. Laguna currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Integrated Behavioral Health Scholars Program. In her previous position with Integral Care, she was an active leader and held numerous roles in the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO). She was also actively involved in numerous state and local grants. She has presented nationally and regionally on elements of Housing First and recently completed the national Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program.
