Biography and Education
Elizabeth “Beth” Lloyd, RN, is a licensed registered nurse in UT Health Austin’s Women’s Health Institute. With over 18 years of experience, she specializes in maternal and child health.
Beth Lloyd earned her associate’s in nursing from Vermont Technical College. She is also a certified lactation counselor accredited through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice.
Beth Lloyd has spent most of her career serving low-income, high-risk patients through the Vermont Department of Health’s Healthy Babies, Kids, and Families programs and later through their Nurse-Family Partnership program. Early in her career, she completed the four-year didactic program at the Ancient Art Midwifery Institute, where she trained as a homebirth midwife and carried out home births for low-risk women. She also traveled to Kingston, Jamaica with the International School of Midwifery, completing a clinical rotation at Victoria Jubilee Hospital, where she served low-income, high-risk women.
