Anne Courtney joined the Musculoskeletal Institute at UT Health Austin as an associate provider in part because of her interest in multidisciplinary care. She enjoys being a part of the team’s whole-patient approach to help individuals improve their mobility and overall health.
Anne completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from San Diego State University in 2007 and worked at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California. She continued her education in acute care nursing and clinical nursing at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating in 2010. She then worked for the Division of Thoracic Surgery at UCLA with a focus on lung cancer, esophageal cancer and disorders, and mesothelioma and sarcoma.
Anne moved to Austin in 2015 and began working at Texas Oncology, caring for benign hematology and a wide array of cancer diagnosis, including breast, lung and colon cancers, and lymphoma. She has a special interest in genetic counseling and completed a year of training in the Intensive Course in Cancer Risk Assessment through City of Hope to provide genetic counseling for high risk breast and colon cancers.
