UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s diagnoses, treats, and manages the care for children and adolescents with medical conditions of the central nervous system, including autism, brain tumors, cerebral palsy, congenital abnormalities, developmental disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, and the effects of head injuries, infections, and strokes. As a leading neurosciences program in Central Texas, our comprehensive care approach is one that prioritizes family-centered treatment, collaboration among a variety of specialists, and inter-institutional partnerships.

Treatment Approach

The UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s care team is capable of addressing the full range of neurological, behavioral, and developmental problems in children of all ages. From evaluation, testing, and diagnosis to surgical treatment, disease management, rehabilitation, and more, treatment is at the forefront of technological innovation and research, providing leading-edge care and employing state-of-the art technology, such as Intraoperative MRI (iMRI) for brain scans during surgery to increase precision and decrease the need for follow-up surgeries and stereotactic neuronavigation to minimize the potential impact to critical brain structures. Patients are cared for by a dedicated multidisciplinary care team, meaning your child will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines.
