About This Clinic

UT Health Austin’s Primary Care Clinic provides primary care, including prevention, diagnosis, acute care, and chronic disease management, for adult patients (18 years and older). We use a continuity care model that promotes a strong provider-patient relationship to promote wellness and to help you reach your desired healthcare outcomes.

Treatment Approach

At UT Health Austin, we take a multidisciplinary approach to your care. This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place to avoid having to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city. The Primary Care Clinic care team includes primary care specialists, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and more who work together to help you get back to the things in your life that matter most to you.

We collaborate with our colleagues at the Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin to utilize the latest research, diagnostic, and treatment techniques, allowing us to design the best treatment plan to meet your specific needs. Advanced imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.

Appointment Information

At UT Health Austin, we focus on you, the whole patient, making sure that you have the support you need throughout your care. For information regarding annual exams, please call the UT Health Austin Access Center at 1-833-UT-CARES (1-833-882-2737). Annual exams require more time than a follow-up appointment; therefore, appointments for annual exams must be booked separately from a follow-up appointment.

Self-Scheduling

Self-scheduling is for follow-up appointments only and is now available for established patients, which are those patients who have previously seen a provider through the Primary Care Clinic. Self-scheduling may be completed as early as 48-72 hours prior to the appointment date and time you wish to select provided there is availability. To self-schedule your appointment with the Primary Care Clinic, please select an available date and time under either the "Family Medicine" or "Internal Medicine" specialty through the Scheduling Calendar, which can be accessed here. For detailed instructions on how to self-schedule your follow-up appointment, please visit here.

New Patients

Please call the UT Health Austin Access Center at 1-833-UT-CARES (1-833-882-2737) so they can help register you as a new patient with Primary Care.
