About This Clinic
UT Health Austin’s James J. and Miriam B. Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions affecting the brain and central nervous system in adult patients (18 years and older). We work to understand your personal goals and lifestyle factors early on to ensure we create a custom care plan that addresses you as a whole.
At this time, psychiatric appointments are being accepted for the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Women’s Reproductive Mental Health of Texas clinics only. For appointments in Women's Reproductive Mental Health of Texas, women must be currently pregnant, anticipating conception, or less than 6 months pregnant.

This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place to avoid having to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city. The Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences care team includes neurologists, neuropsychologists, psychologists, social workers, speech-language pathologists, psychometrists, psychiatrists, geriatric psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, and more who work together to help you get back to the things in your life that matter most to you.
We collaborate with our colleagues at the Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin to utilize the latest research, diagnostic, and treatment techniques, allowing us to better address all aspects of your condition. At the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences, we create custom pathways to address you, the whole patient, by providing specialized treatment and management plans. Imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.

UT Health Austin is housed in the Health Transformation Building (HTB). The HTB is located in downtown Austin, TX on The University of Texas at Austin campus and neighbors the Dell Medical School research and learning buildings as well as the Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.
This facility is outfitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology and organized to support an unmatched level of multidisciplinary care. Patients have access to all of the resources and amenities UT Health Austin has to offer, including attached garage parking, comfortable waiting areas, an on-site cafe, a full-service H-E-B pharmacy, advanced imaging and lab testing, and an Ambulatory Surgery Center for same-day surgical care.
